Square Enix Announces 'Life is Strange: Reunion', Closing the Chapter on Max and Chloe
After a decade of engaging storytelling, Square Enix unveils ‘Life is Strange: Reunion’, set for release on March 26, 2026, on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
This game is a direct sequel to the 2024 release ‘Life is Strange: Double Exposure’, and it brings back the adored characters from the 2015 original. Fans can look forward to playing as both Max Caulfield and Chloe Price in this final adventure.

Max and Chloe, reunited for one last journey, face a sci-fi mystery in which they must save Caledon University from a devastating fire. Max retains her ability to rewind time and Chloe utilizes her «Backtalk» ability for gaining information through conversation.
But how is Chloe back, given her previous demise? It appears that the merging of timelines in ‘Double Exposure’ has allowed Chloe’s return, this time with memories of an alternate past that drives her to seek answers with Max.

After a lengthy journey filled with ups and downs, it seems apt for Max and Chloe’s story to reach a definitive conclusion, allowing their narrative to end with them together.
Notably, the original creators, Don’t Nod, did not envision the characters’ journeys extending beyond the first game. The emotional impact of the original climax still resonates as a franchise highlight for fans.
As for the future of ‘Life is Strange’, nothing indicates Reunion as the series’ ultimate end, albeit it marks a pause in Max and Chloe’s saga.
